Former Supermodel Christie Brinkley’s divorce trial came to an abrupt end when lawyers reached an out-of-court settlement.

Architect Peter Cook who is Brinkley’s 4th husband will receive $2.1 million from Brinkley but she will keep 18 properties in the Hamptons. Brinkley has custody of the two children and Cook will get to spend time with them.

Cook’s affair with 18-year old Diana Bianchi hit the headlines in 2006, this was the start of the stars troubled marriage, as well as evidence that Cook had a interactive Internet Sex addiction that cost him thousands of dollars a month.

The couple were married for a decade before Cook’s affair with a teenager he met in a Southampton toy store catapulted their troubles into the public spotlight in 2006.

The settlement states that Cook will see the children every other weekend and on Wednesday nights, The couple have a daughter, Sailor, 10. Cook adopted Brinkley’s 13-year-old son Jack, whom she had with husband No. 3, Richard Taubman.

Theresa Mari the children’s attorney said Thursday that both parents “worked very hard to do this in the best interest of the children.” And Cook’s admitted pornographic proclivities and adultery made him unsuitable for child custody.

Robert Stephan Cohen Brinkley’s lawyer said that the agreement was reached at 6:15 a.m. Thursday after an all-night negotiating session, and that the rest of the settlement was confidential.

Brinkley said she tried to keep the messy details of the breakup from her children, and send them to camp during the trial, she assured the children they would always be loved but told them “I think Daddy has fallen out of love with me”.

Brinkley took the children for a vacation in Colorado when the stories became public away from TV and internet access, this is when the 18 year old Diana Bianchi went on TV to spill the beans.
