Madonna and Guy Ritchie both deny divorce plans

Friends of the couple have claimed that Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have given themselves an action plan to save their marriage. Madonna is in New York rehearsing for her world tour starting later this year, where it is said the couple met for crisis talks about their marriage.

A report that Madonna had hired Paul McCartney’s divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton, sparked rumour’s of a possible divorce.

Madonna, 49, was linked last week to New York Yankees star A-Rods and it was implied that Madonna was involved in the breakdown of his marriage with Cynthia Rodriguez - although she has always insisted they are just friends.

Madonna and Ritchie were seen with their children Rocco, seven, and Lourdes, 11, on a trip to the cinema in New York looking like the perfect family. It’s been said that the couple have made a series of pledges to each other in hope to help their marriage.

The first is that they spent no more than a week apart at a time, and reduce their work schedules. Secondly Guy Ritchie can only attend one show business event every two months, and Madonna has to cut her gym sessions down to 3 hours from her usual 4 hours a day.

It’s been reported that the couple have agreed to delay any further adoption plans until after she finishes her world tour. Madonna received final approval to adopt David Banda, now aged two, from Malawi earlier this year.

It’s also been reported that the couple have agreed that all their children will be educated in Britain, where Madonna and Ritchie spend most of their time, and they will join Madonna regularly on her tour accompanied by a tutor.

Madonna released a statement through her publicist Liz Rosenberb, which said categorically: “There are no divorce plans” The couple have both denied reports that they are planning a divorce.
