Have women found their sex haven in the husband free virtual world?
If you are going through a divorce we know its an extremely traumatic time and the last thing on your mind is sex? Right? In some cases it’s the only thing ON your mind, being seen in a sexual relationship whilst going through your divorce is probably not something your lawyer would advise, so what can you do?
The word Cyber Sex could conger up a multitude of thoughts, tacky, empty, unfulfilling, wrong and lame but for some women they have found it an exciting, liberating and guilt free experience.
A survey conducted by author Joan Sauers for her new book “Sex lives of Australian Women” reveals that one in five women have admitted to having a sexual encounter in an internet chat room. A large number of women have said they found cyber sex empowering and safe, ensuring there was no chance of pregnancy or STDs.
One in five surveyed said they have starred in their own sex tape, although it is said that a lot of women who watch back the videos were not happy with the result, in fact they said that the experience was not erotic at all, and they just thought they looked fat.
50% of Australian women who participated in the survey have sent or received a sexual text message. Women in their 20’s are the most avid participants in cyber sex with 26 percent, followed by those in their 50s with 21 percent.
Some women would cringe and the thought of tapping away at the keyboard engaging in sexual talk with someone they might not know. But, Joan said that twice the number of women interviewed had good experiences with chat room sex than those who had bad ones. One of the aspects of cyber sex is the use of webcam, for many women use it either with their partner or with strangers.
The survey also suggests that young women are getting hooked on text sex, 70 percent of women in their 20s said they have engaged in sexual SMS exchanges. The figure was 44 percent for those in their forties and 34 percent for women in their fifties.
