Gary Dean, chairman of Elletson Publishing, was so hacked off with the rumours of a ‘misery’ settlement for his ex-wife he decided to create a website with all the details of the seven-figure divorce settlement.

It was said that there had been ‘Chinese whispers’ in the village about the size of the payout and he was being painted as greedy, tight and ruthless, so he wanted to make it public to put an end to it.

It was agreed 12 months ago his ex-wife Helen Dean, would keep jewelry, diamond and watches as well as the £3.7m pay-off. It’s also reported that included in the settlement were two top of the range cars, a Mercedes E500 and an Audi Convertible 3.0, plus two “cherished number plates”

The website has the words “If this website looks like the bleating of a wounded ex-hubby – then sorry – but it’s certainly not meant to be. Mr Dean also hopes that the public display of the divorce settlement will put an end to the village gossip and there will be no need for them to speculate any more.
