War of the Roses is a dark comedy about a couple who meet in an auction, there is a huge mutual attraction and they are soon married into the perfect American family, perfect house, 2 children, workaholic husband and bored housewife. As time moves on Barbara (played by Kathleen Turner) decides she no longer wants to be married and wants a divorce, But her husband Oliver (Michael Douglas) is still head over heels in love with her but agrees to give her the divorce.

Of course the spit is anything but civilised and the story continues from there…
