A-Rod responds to Cynthia’s divorce filing

American Yankees star A-Rod responds to his estranged wife Cynthia Rodriguez divorce filing. The Daily News got a copy of the papers and they state that A-Rod wants the prenuptial agreement enforced. He is not happy about being branded a cheater and wants that removed also.
A-Rod admits the marriage is “irretrievably broken” but he is not saying why, he doesn’t have to give a reason because Florida is a no-fault state.
His response to Cynthia’s allegations as to why their marriage failed should be stricken off as the papers say they are impertinent, Cynthia’s reasons for the marriage break us was A-Rods “extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct” and “emotionally abandoned his wife and children”
Cynthia’s petition was asking for the couples $12 million waterfront estate and “equitable distribution” of all assets acquired whilst they were married.
Alimony and child support were also in the petition but no figures were mentioned, Cynthia also included private school fees, and life and health insurance, she would also like to maintain the “high standard of living” that she had throughout her marriage to A-Rod.
A-Rod continues to talk of the prenuptial agreement which he wants enforced, no one is sure at the moment what the terms of the prenuptial are, but we have heard that Cynthia is not happy with them. The Yankee’s slugger has said in his papers that he is confident that he and Cynthia will be able to co-parent their children without the need of court intervention.
