We in the Diva office thought that the celebrities might slow down with the rate they are divorcing but not a chance, next on the block is Donnie Wahlberg famous for being part of you guessed it the 1980s boy-band New Kids on the Block.

Wahlberg who has just reformed with his band for a comeback tour has been married to his wife Kim Fey Wahlberg for 9 years.

As Kim was filing divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court, Wahlberg was doing the same in Ventura County. Both filed for divorce under the grounds of “irreconcilable differences” which seems to be a celebrity favourite.

The pair got married in 1999, and have two children, Xavier who is fifteen, and Elijah who is seven. Kim is seeking sole physical and legal custody of the children but allowing visitation rights for Wahlberg, she is also after spousal support and attorney’s fees from the New Kidder.

In a report with E!Online Wahlberg’s publicist said “They have been separated for almost a year but remain close friends.”

We don’t think Wahlberg has anything to worry about if he is looking for a new love, with the New Kids on the Block re-forming after 15 years we think there will be plenty of women out there showering him with attention, note we use this word women and not girls, I’m sure he will be very pleased with the new kind of affection. The tour starts in Toronto on September 2nd, to support their new album The Block.
