It’s hard enough going through a divorce, without it being scrutinised by the public, one person who knows what that feels like is singer Jessica Simpson when she was divorced from ex husband Nick Lachey, she said in a recent interview with People magazine “It’s one thing to have your marriage fail, but then there’s another thing to have the entire world watch your marriage fail. It’s like dealing with a death.”

Not shy of showing her new love off to the media, Jessica is now dating Dallas Cowboys football star Tony Romo, she is reported to have been telling the press what a perfect guy he is.

She had said that she has had some secret relationships that the press hasn’t found out about, but right now all she wants to do is put the past behind her including her divorce with Nick Lachey, Jessica also said that she doesn’t even want her past life to have any way of contacting her.

I guess you do have to sympathize with celebrities who break-up and divorce, to have your dirty laundry spread around is one thing but to have it spread all over the national papers and all over the world must be something quite different.

But, when you are a celebrity the media attention comes as part of the job, without the media it would be hard for them to promote good or bad, just the same, the person who gets involved with a celebrity would know they need to take the good with the bad, and divorce could be something they have to face, albeit upsetting they probably know they will be coming out of the marriage far richer than they went in.
