My Brilliant Divorce: Comedy at the Opera house in Manchester

1:04 pm Other Divorce News

My Brilliant Divorce is a fantastic production, now showing at the Opera house in Manchester, it really is a must see one-women comedy by Geraldine Aron which promises to produces laughter throughout the theatre. Dillie Keane plays Mrs Angela Kennedy Lipsky, a bruised and ebullient reluctant divorcee and grumpy old women, the jokes are about the sexes and pretty clichéd but that makes the production even more fun.

It’s 90 minutes long and has scenes of humiliation, jealousy, depression and a string of disastrous dates, the comedic potential is huge and the actress pulls it off extremely well.

The famous actress/comedian Dawn French played Mrs Angela Kennedy Lipsky, when the show had success in London’s West End, and it also was nominated for an Olivier award. The new show is touring around 50 art centres and theatres in the UK.

A great show for divorcees or anyone who is going through a divorce as you will be able to relate to a lot of the emotions in the production.
