Alec Baldwin: Divorce and child custody in his new book

We all know Alec Baldwin as the heart throb actor, but in his new book “A promise to Ourselves: A Journey Through Fatherhood and Divorce,” we see a different side to the actor, as he explains in depth the torturous divorce he had with his ex wife Kim Basinger and how the bitter custody battle for their daughter nearly pushed him to suicide.

They say don’t judge a book by the cover and in the case of Alec Baldwin goes that step further to explain to us the real person behind the glamorous image he portrays.

The book isn’t a tell-tale or a biography, Baldwin has written the book like a forum to discuss fathers custody battles discuss equal rights for fathers, it’s basically a way to have your say on the family law system that he calls a “disgraceful mess.” The book goes on to talk about how one parent can turn the child off the other parent which is called Parental Alienation Syndrome or PAS for short.
