Divorce may have led Korean actress Choi to suicide

Korean star Choi Jin-Sil was found dead on Thursday at her home in Seoul, she was found hanging in her shower said Seocho police officials.
Choi’s mother found her at around 6.15am, although no suicide note was found, it’s said that Choi had become increasingly unhappy since her well published divorce 5 years ago. Her mother said Choi had been taking several sedatives to help with the depression, but lately she had been taking a larger amount.
The police also said that close friends of Choi had regularly talked about suicide and had complained about the difficulty in raising her children and keeping her top star status, her divorce seemed to be the start of difficult times for Choi.
It had also been rumoured that the iconic actress had been linked to a suicide of another actor which depressed her even further and that she had been involved in a blackmail situation where she lent Ahn Jaue-Hwan a famous actor 2.5 billion won (US$2.1 million).
Police have dismissed murder and tentatively concluded she took her own life.
