Russell Brand files for divorce from ‘adored’ Katy Perry
December 31, 2011The two seemed sweethearts and maybe even a celebrity marriage that would work, although sadly it has been learned that Russell Brand and Katy Perry are ending their marriage, which started in India just over a year ago.
Not long after Russell Brand files for divorce from Katy Perry, it seems the docs had been leaked onto this popular celebrity website, which listed a statement made by Brand. He explained they would “remain friends”, and that he’ll “always” adore Katy Perry.
Signs of problems in celebrity marriages are hard to hide, and Christmas 2011 saw the couple spend time apart, according to the above article. I guess when both of you are not wearing wedding rings it’s kind of a telltale sign.
The problems the couple had were obviously being worked on, and they surely didn’t want to split last month when Brand denied their marriage had issues, stating he was “happily married”.
